Founded by a group of engineers in their senior year at the Georgia Institute of Technology, reINVENTory strives to make restaurants more efficient by providing a solution to the biggest pain-point in the industry: inventory management. After interviewing twenty restaurants, the team discovered that two to four hours are wasted each week taking inventory. Further research showed that a semi-truck's worth of food is wasted annually due to spoilage, which directly correlates to inventory management. The interviews and research together revealed the market need for a solution to inventory management.
ReINVENTory fills the void by re-inventing inventory. By providing real-time updates on the weight of the product, managers can easily see what needs to be ordered soon and chefs can see what needs to be made to maintain kitchen efficiency. Time and food are no longer wasted, leading to direct savings in money.
